There are a few ways to write uppercase and lowercase letters in Microsoft Word.
    Using the keyboard:
    * To type in uppercase, hold down the Shift key while you type the letter.
    * To type in lowercase, do not hold down the Shift key.
    Using the Home tab:
    1. Select the text you want to change.
    2. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the Change Case button.
    3. From the menu that appears, select the case you want.
    Using keyboard shortcuts:
    * To change to uppercase, press Shift+F3.
    * To change to lowercase, press Shift+F3 again.
    * To change to sentence case, press Shift+F3 three times.
    * To capitalize each word, press Shift+F3 four times.
    Using the Font dialog box:
    1. Select the text you want to change.
    2. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the arrow next to the Font button.
    3. In the Font dialog box, under Effects, select the case you want.
